  • We offer both nominal Hardness range plates, 400 BHN and 500 BHN
  • Service Temperature is 400°F.
  • This plate product is intended for use in applications where a good balance of formability, weldability, toughness and abrasion resistance are required.

From 1/8 to 4 inches

500 BHN Plate:

From 1/4 to 1.5 inches.

Application Specifications:

  1. Cutting – Plasma burning, air arc, abrasive saw or water jet.
  2. Welding – overlay plates can be joined by welding the substrate to substrate using weld wire or rod.
  3. Bending – Using a press brake or rolling.

Abrasion resistant steels are typically sold to hardness range and not a fixed chemistry.

Applications may include use in mining, quarries, bulk material handling, steel mills, and pulp & paper industries. Wear plate products are designed for liner applications; they are not intended for use as self-supporting structures or lifting devices.
